16 years ago I was beginning my Alaskan Adventure. Over the Labor Day weekend that year, I traveled to the Kenai Peninsula for the first time. I had the weekend to decide if I would be a nanny to 2 year old triplets in Anchorage or stay on the Peninsula and rent from a friend. So… I ended up staying on the Peninsula. I had a backpack, a tent, and a sleeping bag with me. Talk about traveling light! Especially considering, what at times, seems like a mountain we’ll be moving in the next month – that seems pretty nice! But then that wouldn’t include the rest of the package: husband and children! Ah well! Fun memories to think about. We got to take the family to Silver Dollar City yesterday. As an extra bonus, it was a beautifully perfect weather day!
